Preparing the hemisphere for white matter dissection
Master station: A. Kalyvas
Under stepwise guidance, participants remove the cortical grey matter using fine metallic periosteal elevators or wooden spatulas. Dissection proceeds to the superficial U-fibre layer, exposing its short association fibres while preserving the underlying white matter architecture. The prepared hemispheres will be used for the lateral-to-medial dissection session on Saturday.
