Neuroscience Dialogue: Paediatric Hydrocephalus

Welcome to the event “Neuroscience Dialogue: Paediatric Hydrocephalus”, organised by the Hellenic Neurosurgical Society on Sunday 20 September 2026 — World Hydrocephalus Awareness Day — at the Lighthouse of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

This day is dedicated to you: to children living with hydrocephalus and their families. We know how many questions arise from the moment of diagnosis onwards — about treatments and the shunt valve, about development and school, about everyday life, safety and the future. 

Here, the answers come in plain words and with a human touch: paediatric neurosurgeons, paediatric neurologists and collaborating specialists speak directly with you, through thematic panels, experiential workshops and stories from families who have walked the same road.

Above all, we want you to leave with one certainty: you are not alone. There is knowledge, there is support, there is a community.
